Pastor Scott

Action and reaction, ebb and flow, trial and error, change – this is the rhythm of living. Out of our over-confidence, fear; out of our fear, clearer vision, fresh hope. And out of hope, progress.
Bruce Barton

Being the face of change is hard. People’s expectations, pleasing some and not others, inviting change while still embracing the present way of things…. it’s a challenge. When presented with the reality of leadership, most shy away because they realize there are more hard days than there are easy, there is more heartache and lessons than there are victories. But while this is all true, there is one very important truth that makes it all worth while. He’s bigger. He’s bigger than the change that scares us. He’s bigger than our understanding. He’s doing bigger things in our world and in our stories than we could have ever planned. And He invites us to join in and LIVE. It’s not just you doing, it’s HIM doing through you…. all that’s required is an open heart, open ears, an open mind, and the courage to do.

There is a new pastor at my church named Scott. He’s got guts, and a tremendous sense of hope. I’m sure it’s been a challenge as well as a blessing jumping into our community…. and I’m inspired by his heart for people, and love for his God. Exciting things are in store, the bar has been raised, and I wait for hope to penetrate the our hearts, fill our spirits, and make way for progress towards His kingdom here on earth…
