Something I wish I was better at is allowing myself to fully be in the moment. So often I’m thinking a million miles a minute, planning ahead, remembering to-do lists, and making sure everything is running smoothly that I forget to feel and marinate in life. It’s hard to literally and metaphorically stop and smell the roses most days, and wedding days are no exception… if anything, it’s even harder. Something I noticed about Marcelo and Noemi’s wedding was how they both seemed to successfully remain “in the moment” all day long. They couldn’t stop smiling. They allowed themselves to cry and feel the emotion welling up within them, and they invited everyone present to join in it with them. Now, I typically cry at least a little bit every wedding because, let’s face it, I’m a big sap and weddings just get me. However, this wedding had me in tears long after the day was over and even as I edited through them, I found myself teary and my heart joyfully aching for these two newlyweds and their uber meaningful love story. So if you’re looking for a huge helping of warm fuzzies and possibly some sniffles, take a look at my favorites from the day Marcel and Noemi said “I do”….
They opted to not see each other before the wedding ceremony, but they really wanted to pray together before they walked down the aisle. So we found a corner where they could hold hands and pray with each other without seeing one another….. and what a special moment to be a part of. So thankful….
Marcelo and Noemi, your wedding was a dream to photograph and you two are some of the best people I’ve ever had the privilege of working with. I feel so blessed to have been a part of your wedding day, and to have be able to spend this time with you documenting your love story. Your love for Jesus seeped blessing out of every nook and cranny of your wedding planning, and it was a tremendous joy feeling His presence cover you on the happiest day of your life together. Thank you for choosing me to be your photographer and I can’t wait to see what you two will accomplish together.
Also, special thanks to all the amazing vendors involved, and my top notch 2nd shooter Amanda. Flawless wedding days are a team effort and I truly enjoyed working with each and every one of you!
