Wayfarers Chapel | A Glass Church Wedding

The Wayfarers Chapel is easily one of the most stunning wedding venues in all of California. Often referred to as “The Glass Church”, the Rancho Palos Verdes venue features a transparent glass atrium peering directly out to the grandiose redwood forest. This sacred sanctuary was designed by Los Angeles architect, Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright, with other notable creations including the shells of the Hollywood Bowl).

Under this heavenly setting, Jim and Amy chose to begin their story and unite their families. It’s almost impossible to improve upon the immaculate natural beauty of the chapel, yet florist Kevin Reeder found a way. His floral arrangements were enhanced with flowing eucalyptus, bringing out the ethereal nature of the day. I could have easily spent all day photographing the couple at the chapel. However, the wooded venue is just minutes away from a gorgeous ocean view at Abalone Cove. Capturing the cliffside golden hour proved to be well worth our time, hands down. Overall, it was a celestial day of celebration that I am very grateful to have been a part of.

Here’s some of my favorite captures from Jim and Amy’s Wayfarers Chapel wedding:

1. The top of a beautiful white lace wedding dress hangs on a wooden door 2. White wedding shoes on the ground next to a long veil trimmed with intricate lace. 1. Black and white of the bride all dressed in for her Wayfarers Chapel wedding in Palos Verdes, California. 2. The bride smiles as she puts on her wedding shoes. 1. A stunning shot of the Wayfarers Chapel, a highly sought after wedding venue in Palos Verdes designed by architect Lloyd Wright. They allwear navy blue tux's and brown shoes. 2. The bride, a white middle aged woman, smiles and stands in the middle surrounded by her 5 bridesmaids. LET'S work
TOGETHER

This life is thrilling and grand and moments of greatness are threaded through loss, grief, and uncertainty. So for tonight, let's dance and celebrate the love we have here. Now. What a gift. The ultimate luxury.

Whether your love is the strong silent kind that shows itself in knowing eyes and tender embraces, or if your love is the loud laughter and infectious kind that can barely contain the joy and excitement you feel... I want to be there. With my camera. Taking snapshots so that time will forever be frozen still.
