The Wayfarers Chapel is easily one of the most stunning wedding venues in all of California. Often referred to as “The Glass Church”, the Rancho Palos Verdes venue features a transparent glass atrium peering directly out to the grandiose redwood forest. This sacred sanctuary was designed by Los Angeles architect, Lloyd Wright (son of Frank Lloyd Wright, with other notable creations including the shells of the Hollywood Bowl).
Under this heavenly setting, Jim and Amy chose to begin their story and unite their families. It’s almost impossible to improve upon the immaculate natural beauty of the chapel, yet florist Kevin Reeder found a way. His floral arrangements were enhanced with flowing eucalyptus, bringing out the ethereal nature of the day. I could have easily spent all day photographing the couple at the chapel. However, the wooded venue is just minutes away from a gorgeous ocean view at Abalone Cove. Capturing the cliffside golden hour proved to be well worth our time, hands down. Overall, it was a celestial day of celebration that I am very grateful to have been a part of.
Here’s some of my favorite captures from Jim and Amy’s Wayfarers Chapel wedding:
