They met on their journey through medical school. They weren’t looking to find love just yet since their futures were so uncertain, but somehow it found them. They carpooled together and slowly got to know one another. Their platonic work relationship turned into a friendship and that friendship slowly blossomed into a deep deep love for one another. These two make me smile…
I think a lot of people assume that God doesn’t care about the trivial things we humans do, that He’s this all powerful creator of the universe who has more important things to think about than human relationships. Well frankly, I don’t believe that. I believe He cares DEEPLY about our hearts and about the desires of our hearts. I believe he finds joy in bringing lovers together and watching them set the world ablaze with their passion for one another. Josh and Geraldine feel the same way, and they wanted that to be the focus of their wedding day. They wanted it to be intimate and holy, natural and joyful. They wanted it to be a true representation of God’s intended purpose with marriage… to point toward the greatest relationship we could ever partake in. And that is exactly the way it went. At Caspers Wilderness Park in San Juan Capistrano, with just their close family and friends surrounding them, in the stillness of nature. It was beautifully holy…
I love how Geraldine wore her BHLDN overlay coverup over her cream colored dress one way for the ceremony, and wore it the other way for her romantic photos later on. It looked so great both ways! Who knew…
Josh and Geraldine, thank you for asking me to photograph such a wonderful day in your lives. You two are wonderful and I can’t wait to see you two rock the medical world together! Special thanks to Asher Gardner who 2nd shot and assisted for me that day.
