The first thing I noticed about Marcelo and Noemi was how much they love each other. The way they hold hands and smile at each other…. the way he pulls her chair out for her at the table…. the way she laughs at his jokes and puts her hand gently on his face…. the way he steals glances at her when she’s not paying attention. I noticed all these things when we met up to do their engagement shoot….. and it made my heart so happy. I always tell couples to be the better version of themselves on an engagement shoot; to do all the romantic things you wish you in everyday life. I tell them that their engagement shoot is no ordinary day…. it’s the one time you get to document how you felt during your engagement. Passionately in love. Smitten and utterly attracted to the other. Excited and hopeful for a life full of joy and love. The camera can only see your actions, not your intentions…. so I say, “Be intentionally active about showing your love and the way you feel. If you do, you’ll love your engagement photos.”
On this particular engagement shoot though…. I didn’t need to give that mini pep talk at all! As we moseyed, talked, and took pictures around Downtown Santa Ana, I had the privilege of catching little glimpses into their hearts. I’m SO excited for their wedding next June and I couldn’t be more grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. Here are a few of my favorites from the evening…
