Today’s my birthday. Birthdays are odd when you get older… it’s kind of like a bittersweet thing knowing that you’re not who you were a year ago. On one hand, you’re excited for what lies ahead in the next year of your life… and on the other hand, it’s scary getting older. This year, my birthday has fallen in the middle of a work week for me… and it seems silly, yet important at the same time, to take time off and celebrate another year of life. Looking back, my 23rd year has been a blur of change, challenge, and growth. I learned more of who I am and what I love doing. I’ve sunk deeper into my own shoes and they’re better fit to my feet. I have no idea what my 24th year has in store, but I can’t wait to set  new challenges, experience new and exciting things, and continue to grow into the person He created me to be!

Well, I wanted to share something pretty cool with you guys today. A few weeks ago a dear photographer friend of mine, Stephanie of Stephanie Ann Photography, asked Christopher and me to be models for a mock engagement shoot she was working on. Of course we said yes!! (Please take note of the word “MOCK”… I don’t want any crazy rumors flying around…) It was a ton of fun getting all prettied up for the camera and working with Stephanie was such a pleasure! I have to say that it was “different” being on the other side of the lens… and I now have a new appreciation for all those cute couples I have the pleasure of working with… it takes A LOT OF WORK to look good!! So props to all you brides and grooms! This shoot is also featured on a wedding style blog called “Jomygoodness“… how exciting! Check them out if you get a chance!
