I’m writing this blog post waaaaay after I should be sleeping, but only because these two totally inspired me today. David and Mirjam came all the way from Germany to attend a dear friend’s wedding next weekend. And while they’re here, they decided they want to document their love… just because. So that’s just what we did today.

They got married almost two years ago and from what I’ve observed, they’re two peas in a pod…. SOOO happy together. I love the way they encourage one another, the way they are passionate about each other’s hobbies. I hope that at my two year anniversary, I’m just as much in love as they are. Liebe Gruesse….

Today, I was inspired by this photo from a recent engagement shoot with Scott and Kate. We could all use a little more laughter in our lives… because really, life isn’t supposed to be serious all the time…. it’s supposed to be enjoyed thoroughly.

Erin Wade is one KILLER photographer. Not only does she nail her exposures EVERY TIME, but she also has perfect White Balance, impeccable composition, and a rare ability to bring smiles out on any bride’s face. She’s practically the Wonder Woman of Wedding photography. So anyways, Gavin Wade emails me one day asking if I’d be able to help him out when him and the Mrs. have to split for the day…. essentially to be Wonder Woman’s Super Substitute. Because they’re friends, and because I know Erin wouldn’t kill me for not being born a super hero photographer like them, I obliged…. and I’m SO glad I did. Jon and Donna’ s wedding was nothing short of perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed playing “Erin” for the day. Here are my absolute favorites from their super fun Sherwood Country Club Wedding…

Donna and Jon, your wedding was fabulous… I seriously had a lot of fun with you two. And Gavin, thanks for including me in your Super Hero Photographer adventures…. I had a lot of fun and can’t wait for the next time!

I was at Fedex today, sending a package. As I was filling out the form, I asked the lady if it was March 15th, because that’s what day I thought it was. She gave me a weird look and, half annoyed, she said, “yeeeaaah… it’s the 31st of March today.” Awesome. The whole month of March slipped past me without even leaving a note. I suppose that’s what I get for moving to a new place, planning a wedding, and working like a mad-woman. I do have SOMETHING to show for the big black hold of crazy in my schedule, and that is…. I finally got my wedding invitations out! Woohoo! (as I wipe blood, sweat, and tears off my forehead with the back of my wrist) I’m super excited about the way they turned out, and I’m uber relieved to know that I can move on and continue planning the smaller things now that the bigger ones are taken care of. Here’s the final product! What do you think?
