After almost 10 months of going at 200%, I took a little mini adventure vacation for 3 days in October. My bestie Betsy Lackey invited me to meet her in Dallas for the Needtobreath & Taylor Swift concert…. on a whim. Usually, I don’t jump on whims that require lots of traveling and uncertainty, but this time, I did, and a few weeks later I found myself on plane to Dallas without knowing the “where’s”, the “how’s”, or the “when’s” that one might want to know BEFORE traveling. Sometimes in life, to prevent spontaneous combustion, a little unplanned meandering is required. Here is my photographic journal of sorts, documenting this unplanned and simply refreshing trip to Dallas….

Do you ever get those cravings? Annoying hankerings for something? Usually it’s food, for me. Chocolate, to be exact. But lately I’ve had this irresistible urge to consume color. I suppose it’s because of the days growing longer and the weather warming up… or maybe it’s because I sit inside at my computer more days than not. Anyway…. I can’t get enough. I had to do something about it… so I went for a walk a couple nights ago and took pictures trying to soak up as much color as I could… and it was so nice outside! This weekend, if you get a chance, go for a walk around sunset time and soak in all the colors… maybe even say a prayer of thanks for your cones and rods…. I don’t know what I would do without mine. Happy Friday!
